Another year has passed without my updating this thing.  Oh well.

On July 17, 2017, Don and I got married.  We got married at the Cheboygan courthouse with my parents as witnesses and then went to the park on the beach in Cheboygan to take some photos.  It was a nice day.  The day before that I stopped working at the gas station in Indian River.  We had paid off the property, finally, and things were getting really stupid at that job, like a lot of customer hostility and they were only scheduling us to work 1 person at a time during the insanely busy summer months and we couldn't get the cleaning jobs done and then we'd get chewed out because we couldn't get the cleaning jobs done.  Stupid.  Don said I don't have to work anymore if I don't want to because we're financially stable enough now, so I took him up on his offer to let me stop working.  If I do have to go back to work later it won't be in customer service because I'm sick of being treated like I'm not a human being and like I'm not of any worth.  I'll find somewhere where I can be shut in the back running a dish machine, or something like that, where I will never see customers.  A person's self esteem can only take so many beatings.

On July 23rd the internet stopped working and Frontier refused to fix the problem, so we canceled our service and went without internet for 7 months.  I had to give up on YouTube vlogging except for a few very rare, special videos since we had no way to upload except trying to find public wifi, which is not of very good quality in this town.  So I decided to shut down the TkDw Vlogs channel (I didn't delete it, but nothing new will ever go up there again) and start using Don's channel instead, which I've named Wilton Adventure Vlogs.  There's quite a few videos up there now because we were finally able to get internet through Verizon, if you want to check it out, just search the name.  It's not daily anymore, but I try to get videos up pretty frequently.  Right now I'm sick with a cold, so I haven't felt like filming for a couple days, but maybe I will tomorrow.

As for art I've done none except for 2 pages in the 500 Drawing Prompts book and a few adult coloring book pages.  It's all here in my gallery.

We haven't gone to any concerts since the We the Kings/AJR in Detroit weekend last year.  We just haven't had that kind of extra money and the shows are always so far away since there are no venues in this part of the state.  But that's okay, I'm sure we will go to more shows someday.

I had to retire my car and we started using Don's car because the underside of my car is starting to rust out and it's becoming unsafe.  Don will try to weld the rusted spot later, but until then we're just using his car.

Our black cat Sammy passed away in February, but in October we got a little yellow kitten we named Gizzard and he's 6 months old now and doing fine.  We do miss poor Sammy, though.  Tug and Eevee are doing fine.  We babysat Don's sister Becky's Alaskan Malamute Roxy for 3 1/2 months this year because her landlord sold the building to a new landlord who changed the rules to no pets, but Roxy is very dog aggressive (and aggressive to any other animals, too), so she couldn't stay here without our pets being unsafe, so Becky recently found her a new home with an old man who has no other pets.

I've been reading the Warriors books by Erin Hunter (even though I'm 42, lol) and I'm taking a break from those right now to read Stephen King's It, which is ridiculously long.  We recently watched the first season of Westworld, which was really awesome, and we enjoyed The Good Doctor and Kevin (Probably) Saves the World when they were on.  Now we're watching the new season of Roseanne and it's just as good as it always was.

As for weight I have majorly failed there.  I lost 150 lbs. in 2014, but I've gained almost all of it back and I cannot get back into the same mindset I was in in 2014.  It really sucks, but it's nobody's fault but my own.  At tax time I got a FitBit and I enjoy making my daily step goal, but the weather has sucked here lately for walking, with snowstorms galore even though it's spring, but I'm also too lazy to want to ride the exercise bike anymore, so again, my fault.  I'm hoping to get back on track because I don't feel or look worth a shit anymore.

I guess that's all for now.  See you in a year or 2 mostly likely, lol.

Bye.

I haven't updated this journal in over 2 years!  Well, a lot has changed, like always.

I moved in with Don here in Tower, MI on February 3rd, 2015.  We got together on December 11, 2014 and we've been together since and we're perfectly happy.  I've finally found somebody who knows how to treat me right!

I worked at the Petoskey Walmart as a cashier for 8 months, but I got sick of the drive, which was a 90 mile round trip 5 days a week.  I was spending all my money on gas!  So I left there and started working as a cashier at a gas station in Indian River, which is only 16 miles from here.  I've been there since October 10, 2015 and I don't plan on leaving.  I like the job and the coworkers.  The managers aren't dicks.  Usually I work completely alone.  I always close, Thursdays to Sundays, with Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.  It's nice to have a predictable schedule.

I've gone to a lot of concerts since I moved away from Alpena.  The first was Warped Tour 2015 in Detroit with my daughter Cathy, Don, and our friends Chrissy and Sean.  Then Don and I went to see Mushroomhead at Streeter's in Traverse City.  Then Cathy and I went to see We the Kings in Detroit last year.  Then I took Cathy and my son Tony to see Avatar at The Machine Shop in Flint.  Next was Dope at The Machine Shop with Don, and then last weekend Don and I went to Detroit for a whole weekend to see We the Kings the first night and AJR the second night.  They were both playing at the same venue, so we decided to stick around for both shows.  It was a really fun weekend.

My daughter Cathy works in nursing at Tendercare in Alpena now.  My son Tony was working at another branch of the same gas station I work at in Hillman, but he started dating a heroin addict and screwed up his whole life.  He quit that job, lost the house he was renting, lost his dog, and now lives with her in Petoskey and has gone through 3 jobs there as far as I know.  Right after Thanksgiving he tried to commit suicide and ended up in Ann Arbor on life support until they got all the pills out of his liver.  It didn't wake him up, though.  We're hoping he's not shooting up heroin with her, but nobody knows.  He got her pregnant, but she killed the baby with heroin, and that also did not wake Tony up.  He refuses to speak to me because I tried to talk some sense into him, so I guess if that's how he wants it, that's how it will be.  It's all a bad situation, but I can't do anything about it.

So anyway, my whole adult life I lived in apartments and was not allowed to have pets.  Now I live in a house in the country that Don owns, so there is no bossy landlord.  We have 2 dogs, a cat, a corn snake, a mouse, 2 rats, a rabbit, 3 chickens and a rooster, lol.  Our first dog, who we've had for almost 2 years, is a full-blooded border collie named Tug.  We got him from my mom's friend over in Posen.  He's 6 years old.  Our cat is a black cat named Sammy and he's just over a year old.  He was born here.  The rabbit is named Blackie, and of course, is black, and came from Don's brother Dave.  I bought the rats, a set of brothers, Ethan and Malcolm, from the pet shop in Petoskey.  That's where the mouse, Medusa, came from, too.  The corn snake, Cheeto, came from a friend of Don's sister Becky's who was giving him away.  We got the chickens as chicks from Tractor Supply in Cheboygan almost 2 years ago and they give us a lot of eggs.  The rooster was bought from the neighbor.  We didn't name them because they all look the same.  Our newest dog is Eevee, a corgi/beagle mix we got just 1 week ago when we came home from Detroit.  She was being given away by a woman here in Tower.  We're housebreaking her because that woman didn't bother.  She's 4 1/2 months old.  It's great to be allowed to have pets!  We aren't getting anymore now, though, lol.

We are still doing daily vlogs on YouTube, after all this time.  We don't plan on stopping, even though after 2 years we still only have 213 subs and only get about 30 views per video.  Oh well.  I like doing it and it's kind of like a live video journal, so if nobody wants to watch them, so what?  They're at www.TkDwVlogs.com if you care.

I guess that's about all.  I've just been working and going to concerts.  Oh and I also started going to Mackinac Island every summer for a day visit, too.  I took Cathy last year.  Don couldn't go because he was laying phone line at his job with his twin brother Dan.  That job is over now, so he can go with me this upcoming summer.  I used to work and live there, so I really like going just to be a fudgie for a day.  When Don was working for Dan, though, they had to go to Indiana to do some jobs the first summer, so they were gone for 4 days for that, and then last year they had to go to Colorado to pick up a Case 560 machine they bought to do work with, so they were gone close to a week that time.  I just stayed home and worked.

As far as art goes, I've been using adult coloring books to practice my colored pencil shading and I have been using the book, "500 Drawing Prompts."  I need to draw more, though.

Bye.

Please subscribe to our YouTube channel for great daily vlogs!  They can get pretty funny.  :)  My boyfriend is a great guy and he's the star of the show, IMO.  If you could share our channel so the word gets spread, I'd greatly appreciate it.  Thanks so much!

I haven't used this journal in a long time.  Not too much has happened, really, not artwise.  I didn't draw anywhere near as much this year as I should have, as you can tell by that 2013 Summary of Art in my gallery.  I just haven't felt motivated.  I have also been very critical of my art since I started taking college art classes in 2007.  The instructors pointed out to me that my art is really not very good, so I have lost a lot of my confidence.  Sometimes I'd turn something in they'd like, but 95% of the time they hated everything.  Everything I draw disappoints me now, and I didn't even graduate college, so I have no diploma to show for this problem.  Ugh.

In other news, my brother and his wife had their baby, a boy, so now I'm an aunt for the first time.  He's really cute, but being an aunt is still really foreign to me.

I'm still working at McDonald's, almost 5 years now.  I'm a trainer now.  In this tiny town, that's all there is.  It's better than homelessness, which I can vouch for from experience.

2013 was filled with The Office, Frasier, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, reunited Korn, and Astorian Stigmata.  I've lived on my own since Nov. 21st, 2012.  My boyfriend and I still visit each other, but after he cheated on me for 5 years straight, it's best if we live separately.

I've lost some weight over the past year, but I have to lose the rest, because I'm in horrible shape and a lot of things in my life are bad because of this severe morbid obesity.  I need to gather up $100.00 for an exercise bike somehow in between rent and bills because it's too cold to walk outside here in Michigan and I live in a part of town where sidewalks aren't really taken care of in the winter.  I have close to 200 lbs. to lose!

I guess that's about all.  My whole life has been work/home, work/home, work/home.  We went to 3 concerts this year, but that was all.  I don't do anything else.

Bye.
